Counsellors you can finally relate to.
Myranda Tetzlaff, Founder
MSW, RSW, PMH-C
Before I became a mom, I was recognized for my enthusiastic love of ice cream, making up silly lyrics to songs and above all else, my passion for helping people. As a mom of a daughter + twin boys, it has become second nature to put the needs of others ahead of my own. Let’s face it, sometimes our kids’ needs do come first. But I wanted more.
After years of struggling with infertility, I wrestled with what I would later learn was postpartum depression (PPD) + anxiety (PPA) with my first-born. I had no idea that PPD and PPA could last for three years. In fact, one in five women experience a perinatal mood disorder. I wanted more moms to get help sooner than I did!
I decided it was time to create a therapy practice that helps women to recognize and meet their needs by sharing the “mental load” that us moms often take on. My passion for moms, and parents to work together to share responsibilities, set healthy boundaries and reignite the spark in their lives and relationships has been one of my most humbling achievements.
I have been a Registered Social Worker (MSW) for the past decade plus, working within the community mental health, education, and not-for-profit fields with adolescents, young adults, parents and couples. I have had the pleasure of helping people to rediscover what fulfills them but who are stuck with how to start. I hold an additional certification in perinatal mental health and dedicate myself to growing in these skills as I grow everyday in motherhood.
We will work together to meet your wellness goals. I am trained in many evidenced based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (ITP), Perinatal Grief and Loss, Mindfulness practices and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
“Perinatal mental health doesn’t just affect mothers- it touches families, relationships, and entire communities. The well-being of a mother during this time is the cornerstone of her family’s future.” (Unknown)
Mandy Melanson, MA, CCC, RP
Hi all! I'm Mandy and I'm a counsellor here at Myranda Ashley Counselling. I've been working in a helping role for the past decade and have a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology. I’m currently working on a Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I'm a growth-oriented person meaning I love learning new and evidence-based ways of supporting others.
Navigating life transitions like parenthood can be hard so through my combination of lived experience and specialized training in perinatal mental health and couples therapy I've been able to assist people in creating their own path to wellness. This looks different for everyone so I tailor my style to fit your needs. Feedback is welcomed and appreciated!
Most of my career has been spent working with non profits and at a long term inpatient psychiatric facility so I have experience helping people with a variety of challenges such as supporting families through the reunification process, intergenerational trauma, interpersonal conflict and mental health concerns. I am trained in many evidence based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Crisis Therapies (ASIST, VTRA, TES). I can’t wait to meet you and be a part of your journey!
Meghan Schultz, MSW, RSW.
Hi there! My name is Meghan and I am a registered social worker with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Windsor, and a Counselling Women certificate from Athabasca. In 2016, I completed my yoga teacher training, primarily teaching yin yoga, and have a passion for incorporating mind/body connection into my practice - I believe yoga isn’t just for the body, but for the soul as well!
I consider myself exceptionally lucky to have worked in such diverse settings, including community-based child and youth mental health, family well-being, domestic violence, and homelessness. These experiences have led me to really appreciate the intersectionality of women’s lives, and the value of lived experiences.
In the realm of parenthood, I walk a few different routes. As a foster, adoptive, and bio mom, I have learned that each person’s path to parenthood is different - and equally beautiful, challenging, and meaningful.
My approach to therapy is strengths-based and feminist informed. I help my clients through uplifting and highlighting their strengths, using a variety of techniques including CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), motivational interviewing, and mind/body connection.
As a therapist on the Myranda Ashley Counselling team, I provide services to anyone above the age of 6 years old. When working with children and youth, I utilize many play based therapy techniques catered to the needs of the child. When working with adults, I offer individual and group sessions! I am continuously looking forward to expanding in my role and sharing my skills and experience with my community. I’m looking forward to walking alongside you as you navigate the challenges and triumphs of life.

I completed an undergraduate degree in the Bachelors of Applied Science from the University of Guelph and then went on to complete the Masters in Social Work degree from the University of Windsor in 2019.
I have worked in a wide range of settings including mental health, addictions, long-term care, and domestic violence. Some areas my work in the past has focused on has included depression, anxiety, healthy relationships, communication, and self-esteem. I have experience drawing on techniques from CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness-Based approaches.
As a mom myself, I have a passion for supporting individuals and couples with navigating their new roles in whatever season of parenthood that they are in. I know that taking that first step to come to therapy is a huge leap in regaining some self-care time in your schedule. I hope to work with you where you are in this moment and overcome the barriers preventing you from being your best self. Looking forward to meeting you!
Samantha McKinley, MSW, RSW.
Hello, everyone! My name is Samantha, and I offer both individual and couples counselling.
Family and community are at the heart of everything I do, and my own beautiful and blended family means the world to me. I’m a proud mom of four rambunctious children and the wife of my best friend.
I understand the rewarding—and sometimes challenging—journey of family life, and I am passionate about helping couples and families thrive in their relationships.
My heartfelt belief is that a healthy society requires healthy families, and this fuels my dedication to fostering wellness and harmony within the families I work with.
I earned my Master’s degree from the University of Windsor and am registered with the OCSWSSW. I have many years of experience supporting individuals and families with empathy and a non-judgmental approach.
I specialize in guiding individuals through the emotional challenges of separation and divorce, strengthening marriages and long-term relationships, nurturing parenting skills, helping to navigate blended families, and supporting first-time parents.
My therapeutic focus is a combination of evidence-based methodologies, intuitive practice, and the values and beliefs clients bring with them.
In both my professional and personal life, I value compassion and self-acceptance. I recognize the inherent complexities of the human experience and am dedicated to helping people embrace and love themselves for who they are. In my spare time, you can often find me spending time with my family, tending to my garden, or baking sweet treats.
Whether I’m at work or at home, I’m deeply committed to nurturing connection, growth, and emotional well-being.
