Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic licensed therapist (Psychotherapist, Social Worker, Clinical Counsellor) to join our team as an Independent Contractor. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals and couples facing challenges related to infertility, pregnancy, postpartum mental health, and relationship dynamics. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of clients by providing high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally competent care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in person individual and couples therapy focused on infertility, maternal mental health, and pre-/postpartum anxiety and depression.
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, ACT, EFT, and trauma-informed care.
Support clients in navigating the emotional complexities of infertility, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, and parenting transitions.
Guide couples through relationship challenges, communication issues, and parenting stressors.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
Collaborate with medical providers, doulas, lactation consultants, and other perinatal professionals as needed.
Stay informed on best practices and emerging research in maternal mental health and couples therapy.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
Specialized training or experience in infertility counseling, perinatal mental health, or couples therapy preferred.
Strong understanding of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and infertility-related grief and trauma.
Ability to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and inclusive therapeutic environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Candidate must be able to provide in person therapy sessions at our Chatham location at least 3 days per week.
Schedule:
Daytime and evening hours (2 evenings per week at minimum with flexible daytime hours and a dedicated office space).
Candidate must be available to provide at minimum 15 daytime/evening clinical hours up to full-time hours as desired.
